Job Title : Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

FLSA Classification : Exempt

Job Description

Job Summary/Purpose

The primary purpose of the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor position is to supervise and coordinate activities to ensure incoming receipts and outbound shipments are verified, documented, and transacted in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain accurate inventory in the finished goods and component stock room. Serves as Export Compliance Officer for PPE, LLC. Works with management to make continual improvements on shipping processes and systems.

Essential Duties

(Additional duties may be assigned)

• Ensures the Shipping/receiving team meets department KPI’s
• Assign work to achieve an efficient, smooth workflow and achieve company objectives
• Monitor inventory accuracy with cycle counts; analyze discrepancies and initiate action to improve accuracy
• Schedule pickups and deliveries as requested
• Train personnel in relevant procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance
• Responsible for timekeeping of direct reports
• Ensures and maintains export compliance documentation and procedures
• Issuance of RMAs as needed
• Serves as export compliance officer for PPE, LLC, carries out duties, tasks, and training as necessary.
• Coordinate internal audits to ensure compliance with corporate and government regulatory requirements
• Ensure that all customers are being screened to confirm that no transactions are conducted with restricted entities
• Attend corporate training when offered and, at a minimum, once every two years, attend a third-party training to keep current with regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for disseminating information gained from these trainings to the personnel who need to know
• Backup for Import Compliance

Working Environment

The shipping/receiving supervisor will work in both the office and the shipping receiving area; must wear proper PPE.

Physical Requirements

• Reaching, stooping, etc. to gather materials from shelves
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Participates in physical inventory counts twice annually

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of previous experience in shipping and receiving
• Previous experience performing cycle counts/inventory monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of previous experience in a supervisory role
• Previous experience using JDE, Precision, and BCL.
