As a **Security Officer - Armed Patrol** in **San Jose, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and responsibly handle authorized weapons. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Our team values agility, reliability, and innovation, and we work together with integrity to put people first in all interactions. **Position Type: Full Time** **Pay Rate: $24.39 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** **Day** **Time** Wed12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Thur12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM **Responsibilities:** + Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. + Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions. + Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activities and security-related incidents through visible presence and engagement. + Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to established protocols. + Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when required. + Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public, staff, and visitors at the government location. **Minimum Requirements:** + Active CA .40 Caliber Firearm Permit + Must possess a valid armed security guard card/license as required by state law. + Must have a valid California Armed Security Professional License (CA: Armed SP Lic). + Must have an Armed Designation as required by the post. + Must have a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located. + Must meet Allied Universal's driver policy requirements if driving is required for the position. + Must have at least 6 months of security experience. + Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Participate in industry-specific security training programs. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. **Perks and Benefits:** + Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions + Schedules that fit with your personal life goals + Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities + Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more...
