About the role Located just outside of Chicago, our Melrose Park location is part of our Meat division and creates batter blends, pastry blends, and bread crumbs. We are a fast paced, never a dull moment manufacturing facility that comes together as a team to get the job done. With a growing portfolio, comes need to grow our team! This is a 1st shift, Monday to Friday and some Saturday's. Must be flexible to work on the other shifts.  The typical hiring range for this role is $64,479 to $105,272 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.  In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).   Key responsibilities Role Description: •  Management of the Production team on a day to day basis •  Management of the daily operational efficiency initiatives Key Responsibilities Efficiently execute the production schedule Develop and maintain efficient SOPs in collaboration with the site engineers Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the plant production department Communicate and enforce regulatory & Kerry standards within the plant Drive operational efficiency initiatives Manage the plant production department within budget. Positive working environment driving a continuous improvement theme Work in collaboration with HSE officer to ensure a safe working environment Responsible for manufacturing product to specification Responsible for minimizing losses Ensure food safety programs are instituted and followed Management through KPI's Qualifications and skills Leads by example Vision & Strategic Thinking: Creates and communicates a clear vision for the future of Kerry Leading and Managing Change: Actively and visibly sponsors the need for change Customer Engagement & Relationships: Inspires confidence in our customers Matrix Management/ Business Connect :Actively engages across the organization Technical Expertise: Demonstrates a firm command of technology deployed and end use applications •  Understands HACCP, ISO, FSAI & Kerry QSHE standards and Systems •  Relevant scientific knowledge & experience of food & processing technologies •  Technical understanding of cost levers & drivers •  Continuous improvement & problem solving skills •  Project management skills Influence :Gathers ideas and solutions to problems Critical Thinking: Logical thought process Processing & Organizational Knowledge : Leverages process and organizational knowledge to support business goals Education   BS/MS in Engineering, Business, Food Science Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology.   HACCP/food safety experience Experience in food, chemical, or Pharmaceutical industry Behavioral, Communication and interpersonal skills.
