Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a  Physician Assistant - Urology to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Opportunity Details:

We are seeking a full time Physician Assistant to work in the Urology Dept.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. 
  • No Robotics or OR  requirements. 
  • Elicits and performs a detailed and accurate history and performs an appropriate physical examination. 
  • Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management and monitors the level of and adjusts immunosuppressive medications. 
  • Majority outpatient, occasional inpatient consult and emergency room consult assistance.
  • Observes and records pertinent progress of patients, updating and summarizing charts, writing orders and progress notes and notifying Attending Physicians of changes in patient’s condition when appropriate. 
  • Performs BLS and ACLS procedures in the presence of life-threatening situations such as cardiac/and or respiratory distress when an Attending Physician is unavailable and with Physician when appropriate. 
  • Participates in continuing medical education, team conferences and lectures for the service. 

Qualifications

  • Current New York State license.
  • Registration as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences or a related field. 

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836* based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**  based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure. 

  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
