Hourly: Approx. $21-$27/hr dependant upon experience and qualifications

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Music Teacher to join our vibrant community. The ideal candidate will inspire students through music education, fostering their creativity and appreciation for the arts. This position involves teaching music to students across various age groups, incorporating both vocal and instrumental instruction. Demonstrate a proficiency in teaching and performing on the pentatonic flute, recorder, ukulele, and piano.

Candidates will be asked to demonstrate their proficiency through a teaching demonstration.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging music lessons that align with Waldorf educational principles.
- Teach a variety of musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and music theory.
- Introduce students to different musical instruments and styles.
- Organize and lead school performances, concerts, and music-related events.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate music into the broader curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Provide student reports in the Fall, Spring, and End of The Year.

Requirements

Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in Music Education or a related field (preferred).
- Experience teaching music to children, preferably in a Waldorf or similar educational setting.
- Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and vocal training, particularly with ukulele and recorder.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for nurturing the artistic potential of children.
