Barron's, one of the leading financial and investing publications in the U.S., is seeking a high-energy reporter who can insightfully cover breaking business news and knows the U.S. market well. Barron’s values teamwork, so a collaborative approach is required. This role is hybrid - 3 days in office at our 1211 Ave of Americas headquarters.

You Will

  • Track breaking news of publicly traded companies, financial markets, and other subjects of interest to Barron’s readers
  • Generate analysis and angles on the day’s biggest stories
  • Write quickly and cleanly under tight deadlines

You Have

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a reporter at a national or trade business news publication.
  • The ability to write cleanly and quickly on a tight deadline
  • The capability to offer insights into the biggest stories of each day using FAQs, charts, and other news-you-can-use story forms.
  • Passionate about markets and finance, energized by breaking news
  • Relentlessly committed to factual accuracy
  • Familiarity with corporate balance sheets, financial valuations, and investing principles would be ideal
