Shift Hours 3:30PM to 12:00AM Monday-Friday

Description:

Privately owned ISO 9001:2015 certified production machine shop specializing in precision machining located in Richmond, KY

Set up, operate, or tend lathe and turning machines to turn, bore, thread, form, or face metal or plastic materials, such as wire, rod, or bar stock.
Applicant must have 2 years prior experience as a CNC machine operator working with 2 axis lathes and 3 axis mills. Must possess knowledge and be proficient at G-code programming, changing tools and adjusting offsets on Fanuc or Fanuc style control machines. They are also responsible for quality checks of the parts to make sure the parts meet conformance. The shop is temperature controlled.

Duties:

• Performs all assigned machine shop operations
• Reviews set up sheets and specifications to determine program sequence, sets up operation and dimensions of finished work piece.
• Inserts cutting tools/tool holders and positions tools on turret.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee
• Follows tag system, quality procedures and completes all relevant in-process inspection forms
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed
• Ensure all gages used are calibrated and in good working order
• Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results
• Perform general maintenance on machine such as changing coolant, oils and other lubricants
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Familiarity using micrometers and calipers
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Willing to learn to become proficient in operating applicable equipment
• Quality and detail oriented
• Excellent mathematical skills
